Does the Acer Nitro An515-56 Intel Core i5-11300H laptop charge with USB-C?

I have issues with my laptop's charging port being too loose, the motherboard has been replaced however there is still issues with it charging. The charger has been replaced, so I know that's not the issue either. I know that there is a thunderbolt symbol next to the USB-C so could I charge it with a 100 WATT Asus ROG Charger (as seen in discussion threads)? Or is USB-C charging not possible for this model (AN-515-56-88EE)? I don't know whether it's a waste of money to replace the charging port instead of getting a brand new laptop.

Any advice would be appreciated!

The Nitro 5 AN515-56 does not charge with a normal USB-C adapter (btw, I own this exact laptop also) I've tried a USB-C 100W Type C - 5V/3A_9V/3A_12V/3A_15V/3A_20V/5A adapter from a Swift SFX14-51G and it didn't charge the AN515-56. The AN515-56 oem adapter is a barrel plug 135W 19.5V 1.7x5.5x11 PA1131-26AA adapter, that is a 19V / 7.1A / 135W type barrel charger. I suggest that you don't experiment with other chargers as you might cause damage.

It would be allot cheaper if you got the DC_IN port changed by a technician and to use the oem adapter supplied by Acer for the AN515-56 charging.

The AN515-56 has a USB 3.2 Type-C port which has an output of up to 3A at 5V DC for USB charging, this is what Acer specifies ONLY of what this port can do in its service guide. There are USB-C adapters that are designed for gaming laptops like the SlimQ - 330W DC+USB C Charger that costs USD $220.00 that I can't guarantee that it will work, as its cheaper to fix the DC_IN port. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
