Acer Predator Helios PHN16-71 stuck on Tianocore, how to reflash BIOS from USB?

I recently purchased this thing used. It's under warranty but the user has blocked me before giving me his spouses name for the warranty. I'm in a pickle. I'm assuming stolen but before I hard press him for the name using a fake account, I'd like to just try to reflash it myself.

There is no bios… is loads up with TianoCore and freezes on this screen.

There is activity on usb. Doing a hard reset with Esc+FN produces results, I'm sure I'm just doing it wrong. I've located the bios software and FD file, but I don't think I've named it correctly. Bios update hangs for over an hour. Do I just add x64 to the end?

It's a PHN16-71.

You don't use TianoCore or a USB to flash the Insyde bios on the PHN16-71 laptop. If the windows OS is working the type into the search bar "system info" and see if the existing bios is the last version 1.18.

The Insyde bios for the PHN16-71 laptop is ONLY flashed within Win-11 not by any other means. If you don't have the last bios version, then download the PHN16-71 bios version 1,18 and flash it in windows as it should flash perfectly. If your PHN16-71 already has the last 1.18 bios then the will NOT flash and it will be shown in the Insyde software.

This is the system info should have about the bios if you have the last bios version 1.18 installed.

This is an example only of the Insyde bios software that you flash the bios with withing windows.

There is no bios, there is no windows. I am using esc+fn to flash the bios. Upon boot, laptop hangs for nearly a minute, ultimately showing Tianocore screen.

    Thank you for your support.

I lucked out so hard. Acer support pulled through. Shipping laptop in. Would still like responses though for anyone who stumbles upon this in the future. I will try to get in touch with support after and ask them what their fix was.
