AN17-51 laptop charger keeps disconnecting and reconnecting multiple times upon startup

Greetings,

I have recently faced this issue for around 2 months that my charger keeps disconnecting and reconnecting when starting up the laptop. After a couple of minutes, the issue disappears, and everything continues back to normal. It only happens when the laptop has been shut down for a couple of hours and turned back on. I noticed that sometimes disabling the acer care center battery charge limit stops this issue, but its a sometimes. Also the disconnecting and reconnecting is inconsistent as well, as sometimes it would do it for a very few times and continues as normal. What is this issue here?

Hi, the issue is Acer Care Center, disable ACC in Windows Services and stop acSvc and acerAgentSvc; right click on Properties and change the Startup type to "Disabled", then click on Apply and OK in Windows Services. Acer Care Center does not run properly in Windows11 (poorly written) and never use any 80% battery charge limiter programs in Windows as this won't extend the lifespan of your battery (that is a myth), will increase your charging cycles (limited to 1,000 full charge cycles for a high grade Li-Ion laptop battery), interferes with Modern Stand-by protocol of Windows11 (suspend issues) and triggers system throttling reducing performance. Leave the power adapter plugged in 24/7 and keep the battery charged to 100% at all times for best performance and longest battery backup and lifespan. You also may have a bad DC plug connection, fully insert the barrel plug of the power adapter in the laptop port till you hear a loud click, if the plug feels loose and no click or you see the LED battery light react when you wiggle the inserted power plug you need another power adapter, don't charge with a USB-C charger.

I understand, thank you. I shall try this solution now. The battery plug is fully inserted, I made sure of it. It isn't a faulty charger issue since its something which only happens during startup, and all the issues disappear after then.

Hi, it will be Acer Care Center not fully compatible with Windows11, uninstall that and disable the services in Windows Services.
