Acer Predator Helios 16 turn off flashing lights

I have a Acer Predator Helios 16. I would like to turn off the flashing lights. I do not mind the solid lights but the flashing lights bother me because I have epilepsy.

Also they usually turn off after a couple of seconds. Today when I turned my computer on the flashing did not stop. Why is that happening?

Hi, consider trading in your laptop for a non-gaming laptop or a gaming laptop without these light animations. You can turn off the flashing light animations on the Acer Predator Helios 16 using the PredatorSense app. Here’s how:

Open PredatorSense – This is Acer’s dedicated control software for Predator laptops.

Go to the Lighting section – You should see options for keyboard and chassis lighting.

Select Static Mode – Instead of dynamic or flashing effects, choose a solid lighting option.

Save the settings – Apply the changes to ensure the flashing stops.

If this does not help or it resets to flashing lights try installing the PredatorSense program from the Microsoft Store (see picture):

Try to change your Predator Neo PHN16-7x model laptops Predator Sense > Scenarios > Pulsar Lighting > Global setting and turn down the light intensity to its lowest and change the setting to the Zoom pattern and the Color > Speed also for a minimal light coming from your keyboard and to stop the pulsing like with the Wave setting.

As these laptops unfortunately have these annoying RGB lighting keyboards as a market gimmick, that younger users get a kick out of 😁 as to me they are annoying also, as I can’t understand and why for functionality reasons, manufacturers don’t just have a normal setting for the keys to just light up when needed without the pulsating and crazy coloured RGB keys. Good luck and hope the above fixes the RGB lights to your needs.
