You should review your power settings to ensure they support full charging. Also, check if your laptop is overheating due to excessive usage. you can also try a different charger to ensure that your laptop is working fine, but the charger is faulty.

When you are online or running a program while charging it can take 30+ minutes to charge from 95 to 100%, that is perfectly normal for a new battery and power adapter/charger.

It's normal for an Acer laptop battery to take longer to charge between 90% and 100%. This is due to the battery management system, which often uses a trickle charging approach to slow down the charging process as the battery nears full capacity. This helps prolong the battery's lifespan and reduce heat generation.

Here's why this might be happening and what you can do:
Reasons for slower charging between 90-100%:
    Battery Management System:
The laptop's battery management system is designed to extend battery life by avoiding prolonged full charges.
    Trickle Charging:
Once the battery reaches 90%, the charging current is reduced to a trickle, slowing down the final charge to 100%.
    Optimal Battery Charging:
Some Acer laptops, like those with AcerSense, have an "Optimized Battery Charging" feature that can limit the charge to 80% or 85% to protect the battery. You can adjust this setting in your Acer settings.
    Laptop Usage:
If you're running demanding applications while charging, it can slow down the charging process.
    Charger and Cable:
Make sure you're using the original charger and cable that came with your laptop, as other chargers might not provide the correct voltage and current.
    What you can do:
Disable Optimized Battery Charging (if applicable):
If your laptop has this feature, you can disable it in your Acer settings to allow the battery to fully charge.
    Avoid Demanding Applications:
Close any resource-intensive programs while charging to speed up the process.
    Ensure Original Charger:
Use the original charger and cable that came with your laptop.
    Check Power Management Settings:
Make sure your power management settings aren't restricting the charge to a lower percentage.
    Battery Health:
If you're consistently seeing slow charging and reduced battery life, consider getting your battery checked by Acer support or a professional.
