Yesterday (may 27) windows told me to update something that looked like a BIOS update, then, after the update, my pc gave me a BSOD, telling me that my boot device is inaccessible. I can`t enter my BIOS, 'cuse a friend of mine defined a password for it (and then instantly forgot it :/).

When I get the password wrong 3 times, it gives me option to input a recovery code; after selecting that option, it tells me to insert a USB formatted in FAT32. After doing as told, it gives a file called "CODE.txt", that is 684 characters long.

Laptop model is an AN15-51-57ws, RTX 3050 6GB, I5-13420H

I really have no idea what to do with it, and I'm genuinely sad, 'cuse I just finished paying it :(

What is the exact Acer laptop model number as there is NO such model as the AN15-51-57, as is your laptop the Nitro AN515-57 model, so let us know precisely.

But and unfortunately, those signs that you are getting mean that you have bricked the bios of your laptop with the Win-11 update > optional bios update that should NOT have been installed automatically by windows update. This bios optional update DOES NOT install automatically by windows update, so I don't know how this happened within your laptop and was installed to brick the bios program?

Below is an example from my Predator PHN16-71 windows update > optional updates, which is my laptops bios version 1.18, which I didn't install, as to be safe, you only update bios from the Acer Drivers and Manuals page for your laptop and get the bios version from there and install that version!

Now and that your bios of your laptop is bricked, you need to have the bios chip reprogrammed as its corrupted. Take your laptop to either Acer Tech Support in your country or to a local experienced technician that can reprogram your laptops Insyde Software bios. good luck and hope this helps you out to sort the bios problem out.
