Hi, the PHN16-71/72 models don't have that battery reset pinhole, unplug the AC power adapter. Press and hold the Power button down for 15 seconds. This will perform a software battery reset that may resolve the issue. Make sure you use the 230.1W power adapter and that the DC plug is fully inserted in the round port at the back till you hear a click, if the power LED does not turns on check the adapter cloverleaf plug if it is fully inserted in the adapter and try another electric wall outlet, avoid extension cords and power panels and don't use a USB-C charger. If still no results, this laptop is under warranty, either take it to Acer Services in your country or raise a "Repair under warranty" ticket online with Acer Support in your country and wait for instructions by e-mail.

Ensure the charger is securely connected to both the laptop and the wall outlet, and try a different power source if available. If the laptop still does not respond, perform a power drain by unplugging the charger, holding the power button for 60 seconds, waiting for five minutes, and then plugging the charger back in before attempting to turn it on. Inspect the charger and battery for any visible damage or loose connections, and if possible, test with a different charger to rule out an adapter issue. Since you hear something moving inside, it could be a loose screw or component, which may require professional inspection. If none of these steps resolve the issue, contacting Acer support or visiting a service center is recommended, especially if the laptop is still under warranty.
