Hi there,

I recently purchased a new Nitro 15 (ANV15-51).

works fine when usb-c is not plugged into monitor.

when USB-c is plugged into monitor, slow charge warning appears and it seems it ignores the fact the fast charger is still plugged in and powered on.

what is the solution to this problem?

thanks

Hi, update BIOS with version 1.26 from 2025/04/17 and upgrade Windows11 to version 24H2. Gaming laptops that support Thunderbolt4 don't work well with USB-C chargers up to 100Watt (Which is the maximum supported power for TBT4) so use the barrel plug power adapter that came with the laptop. It sounds like your monitor is delivering power to your laptop via USB-C, which can interfere with fast charging. Here are a few ways to disable USB-C charging from the monitor: Check Monitor Settings – Some monitors allow you to disable Power Delivery (PD) in their settings. Look for an option related to USB-C power output. Use a Different Port – If your laptop has multiple USB-C ports, try using one that does not support Power Delivery. BIOS Settings – Some laptops allow you to disable USB-C charging in the BIOS. Check your laptop’s BIOS under Battery Configuration. Use a USB-C to HDMI Adapter – If your monitor supports HDMI, using a USB-C to HDMI adapter instead of a direct USB-C connection can prevent power transfer. Prioritize the Fast Charger – Plug in your power adapter first, then connect the monitor. Some laptops will prioritize the higher-wattage charger over the monitor’s power output. Disconnect the power cord to the monitor.

Does the performance stay the same? The laptop will prefer PD-charging over DC-charging.

Thank you and have a nice day!

@AnhEZ28  performance appears to be the same but i have only tested for abt 1hr . My main concern is the warning of slow charge for the battery status bottom right corner. I've nearly tried all the recommendations (Bios update, check monitor settings, only one usb-c, plugin sequence, unplug monitor power cord) from @Puraw . Some are not an option. The laptop doesn't appear to be preferring PD-charging over DC-charging due to the warning.
