Windows Update driver, Morpho Inc. – Extension 1.2.5.0" driver. Do I need to install it?

Hi everyone,

Windows Update installs a ""Morpho Inc. - Extension - 1.2.5.0" driver,

I can't find anything about this driver on the internet or anywhere else. Does anyone have any idea what it is or what it's for?

I only see one comment in the community, but I don't understand it.

It's fingerprint device driver update. You laptop probably has fingerprint sensor.

I have a Nitro V 15 ANV15-51-589J and doesn't have a fingerprint reader.

Not all ANV15-51 laptop models have the fingerprint reader like shown below at #5, as this came as an option on certain Nitro ANV15-51 laptop models, so be aware of how this works as your ANV15-51 model doesn't have a fingerprint reader on the touchpad. Acer includes the fingerprint reader drivers for the Elantech or Synaptics for the ANV15-51 that have this fingerprint feature only. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
