ANV15-51-73B-Query reg: USB ports not compatible with mouse, headphones, USB connection not fitting,

I'm having an issue with my mouse, headphones, controller, every USB connection not fitting in the USB ports on my new laptop (ANV15-51-73B9), specifically the type A USB ports. It should supposedly have the same exact ports as my Nitro 5 (similar to the AN515-57-59F7) but for some reason can't take my USBs even though they work completely fine on my original laptop. Looking at the actual ports on both laptops

Ports on original Nitro 5

It may be a bit hard to see but the blue parts on the Nitro 5 are smooth and flat while the parts on the Nitro V 15 have ridges. I have the manual for the Nitro V 15 and it does say that the ports are USB 3.2 GEN 1 which should be the same port type but is it just that the design of the port on the new laptop is incompatible with my peripherals or is there some other issue. I'm getting a USB hub anyway that'll connect with the USB-C which should hopefully solve the problem in the meantime.

Hi, USB 3.0 and USB 3.2 Type-A ports are physically identical—same shape, size, and pin layout. If a device has a USB Type-A port (the rectangular, standard USB port), it will fit all USB 3.0 and 3.2 Type-A devices without compatibility issues.
If the USB plug does not fit turn the plug 180 degrees with the metal joint facing downwards. Some users have noted slight design variations in different laptop models. While the port size itself remains standard, certain manufacturers modify the internal plastic mold or ridges, which could affect how snugly a connector fits.
