Hello, I am an learning person with reparing computers. I got an water damaged Acer Aspire A715-42G from school, It had a lot of problem, I ended up replacing the battery, the cooling and heatsink system, the charging motherboard, the battery, the charging cord inside the motherboard. I finally got the power cord and plug it in and to my surprise it popped up the battery light. But then it popped up a blue light and turned on saying "No bootable source" It then turned off and the battery light is gone. now it will not turn on, with everything i tried, did I do something wrong? I can only think of one thing is which I tried to use the CMOS from an Window 7 Bios Home Computer to turn it on. Please help, what should I do?

What sort of liquid damage and in which part of the laptop and mainboard did the liquid spill onto, as this is important to diagnose the problems that the laptop could have. A "No bootable source" must have affected the EC chip and the M.2 slot as the boot drive is not detected or its M.2 SSD was affected by the liquid.

Give us more details as liquid damage can affect many parts of a laptop like its main plover rail, BQ chip its EC and Chipset chips bios chip etc etc

Acer Aspire A715-42G laptop, tell us what part did the liquid damage affect.

hello. I do not know much but I do know that water was spilled over the keyboard. I figured out all of the other components was busted by testing with the multimeter. I do not have that chip or something that is in between the WiFi card and Memory card, I was curious what this part is? Also there is no card memory card 2. Also there is no CMOS. I was hoping it would start without it. Should I replace the CMOS, the problem is when I plug the charger in, the battery light doesn’t pop on. It did at first, and now it won’t.
