Why is my fingerprint sensor (FPC Sensor Controller, ID 10a5:e340) not working on Zorin OS in Swift

I have an Acer Swift laptop running Zorin OS, and it includes a built-in fingerprint sensor listed as “FPC Sensor Controller” with the USB ID 10a5:e340. When I try to enroll my fingerprint using the terminal command 

fprintd-enroll

, I receive the error: “Impossible to enroll: No devices available.” I have already installed 

libfprint

 and related packages, but the system still does not recognize the sensor. I checked the device compatibility list for libfprint, but I’m not sure if my sensor is supported or if there are any workarounds. Is there a way to get this fingerprint sensor working on Zorin OS, or do I need to use an external fingerprint reader? Any advice or solutions would be appreciated.

Windows Hello is designed for Windows, so its fingerprint authentication system doesn't directly work on Zorin OS. However, Zorin OS does support fingerprint login through Linux-based authentication methods.
