Hello fellow Acer users, I've recently saved up money and was able to buy a Kingston SSD, though as I'm not the smartest with this stuff I'd like to ask for your insights.

This is the link to the product on amazon. Was it a good purchase?

The best choice for your Acer Aspire 3 A315-56 is a PCIe Gen 3 x4 M.2 SSD. While Gen 4 x4 SSDs may technically work, they won’t provide extra speed because your laptop is limited to Gen 3 speeds.

Your laptop’s motherboard only supports Gen 3 x4 speeds, so a Gen 4 x4 SSD will run at Gen 3 performance. Gen 3 x4 SSD ensures optimal performance without any firmware or power issues. A good Gen3 NVMe SSD is the Samsung 970 Evo Plus
