Hey! I was wondering if itll be possible for me to upgrade a Aspire V5-571-323b4G50Mass with a i3-2375M (4) @ 1.5GHz and with a Intel 2nd Gen Core Processor GPU and 4 gigabytes of RAM to a more modern specification. I think that the CPU is soldered on though, not entirely sure.

Welcome any answers and any further questions; thank you!

Hi, yes, the CPU in the Acer Aspire V5-571-323b4G50Mass is soldered onto the motherboard, meaning it cannot be upgraded or replaced.

The only way that you can upgrade your Aspire V5-571-323b4G50Mass is to buy a new mainboard (see Ali Express for the i7 or i5 board as they are available for the V5-571 laptop) with either the i7-3517U cpu or the i5-3317U cpu which are this laptops top spec cpu’s. Btw, I’m using the Aspire V3-571G with the I7-3610QM cpu and I’m running 16GB @ 2x 8GB DDR3-1800MT/s type ram with a 2.5” SATA III Samsung 870 SSD drive ram since 2015 and this laptop has been working perfectly and great since new when I bough it in 2011.

If you change the board to the above specs, I suggest that you also upgrade the ram to either this laptops Acer quoted max total capacity of 8GB @ 2x 4GB DDR3-1600MT/s, but you can upgrade these Aspire V5-571 with the 3rd Gen cpu’s to 16GB @ 2x 8GB DDR3-1600MT/s type ram as they will work perfectly.

And also, its essential that you use a 2.5” SSD drive for best performance, as doing all the above will improve your Aspire V5-571 performance by at least 300% with the i7-3517U cpu board, 16GB ram and the 2.5" SSD drive. Good luck and hope this helps you out further in your upgrade as these old Aspire laptops are a great spare tool to have around.
