Hi, I have an Acer Nitro AN515-58 laptop with an Intel 12th Gen CPU.

I recently replaced both the thermal paste and the thermal pads.

I use arctic mx4 for thermal paste and 1mm for pad

Before the replacement:

Max CPU temperature was around 91°C

Max GPU temperature was around 71°C

After the replacement:

Max CPU temperature dropped to 71°C (which is great)

But now, the GPU temperature reaches 88°C, and sometimes even hits 90°C

I also cleaned both fans during the process.

My question is:

Why did the CPU temperature decrease, but the GPU temperature increase?

Is this behavior normal?

For additional context: these temperatures were recorded while playing Genshin Impact.
