Dear Acer Support,

Hello, I am an owner of an Acer TC-1660 desktop. I recently wanted to reboot the Windows operating system.

Could you please let me know if my pc originally came with a preloaded installation package or recovery image?

If so, how can I access or download the installation files?

Thank you for your assistance.

The Aspire TC-1660 came with a preinstalled Win-11 OS, it does not have a recovery OS disk or can you get an Acer oem Win-11 USB to reinstall the original OS. That is why its very important that you back the operating system up.

If the OS crashed and you cant recover the installation, and you need to reinstall Win-11, you need to construct a new bootable installation USB that can be constructed by following the Rufus 4.6 guide and then you need to put the TC-1660 IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver version 18.31.2.1034 onto that USB, so that when you get to the windows installation section at “Where do you want to install Windows? > Load driver > you need to load this IRST driver so that the M.2 SSD boot drive is recognized and you can continue and finish the installation. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

You can use Macrium Reflect to do a daily/weekly or monthly backup of your Win-11 OS, as this backup software also has an embedded windows boot windows menu to restore the backup, as you don't need a separate WinPE USB to activate the backup if the system crashes. See this software's features as its a really good backup system and also can be used for cloning drives.

Tapping ALT- F10 should do it too. Back to the was that it came out of the box.

But you may lose all of your pre-installed programs.
