Wi-Fi Instability Issue – Killer AX1675i (Acer Predator PHN18-71)

Hi everyone,

I’ve been facing an issue recently with my Acer Predator PHN18-71 (i7-14700HX, Windows 11 24H2) related to the built-in Killer(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i 160MHz Wireless Network Adapter (211NGW) card.

The laptop was working perfectly until about a month ago. Since then, I've been experiencing random Wi-Fi disconnections. Sometimes it won’t reconnect unless I manually select the network. The issue happens across multiple routers and mobile hotspots, and whether I’m on battery or plugged in.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Reinstalled and updated the Wi-Fi driver
  • Disabled power saving in Device Manager
  • Adjusted roaming aggressiveness to the lowest
  • Cleared all known networks
  • Disabled Wi-Fi sense and auto hotspot settings
  • Tried on different networks, same issue

I’ve read that this Killer AX1675i card has similar problems reported by others, but I’m curious—has anyone else here faced the same issue? If so, did you find a fix? Or did replacing the card help?

Any insights would be much appreciated!

The only problem I can put that to is the actual card that is faulty, buy another card and replace your existing Killer(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i 160MHz Wireless Network Adapter with a new one as that should not be happening after you have done all that you did to try and fix the disconnection problems. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

    Hi @Berham,

Which drivers versions of the WLAN controller did you use?

Considering that these AX1675i Killer Series cards use a proprietary Intel interface (CNVio2), there is a possibility that it is an Intel (CS)ME malfunction.

Check that the firmware of your Predator PHN18-71 is updated with the latest available version (1.16 or above):

Another suggestion, would be to try to do the EC reset procedure.
