I was having virus issues so had a local company do a knock flat / re-install - so all good now - only issue is number pad on keyboard doesn`t now work - an idea? Unless I am being thick and can't see the num-lock key

Ensure the Num Lock key is activated. Sometimes, the number pad won't work if this key is turned off.

Testing with a different keyboard is a great idea. It can help determine if the issue lies with the keyboard itself or with the computer. If the new keyboard works fine, the problem is likely with the original keyboard. However, if the issue persists, it could be related to software, drivers, or even hardware connections on the desktop.

Go to Device Manager, locate the keyboard driver, and update it. If updating doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. Check if Mouse Keys are enabled in the Ease of Access settings. If they are, disable them as they can interfere with the number pad functionality.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
