Start with a power reset. To reset your Acer laptop using the battery reset pinhole, first ensure the laptop is turned off and unplugged from the AC adapter. Locate the battery reset pinhole on the bottom of your laptop, usually marked with a battery icon. Using a small paperclip or a similar object, press and hold the reset button inside the pinhole for about 5 seconds. After releasing the button, wait for approximately 5 minutes before plugging in the AC adapter and powering on your laptop. This process temporarily disconnects and reconnects the internal battery, which can help resolve power and battery-related issues.

If this model does not have any reset pinhole. Did you try to reset your laptop by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

Reinstall the battery drivers. Press Windows key + R and type devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box, hit Enter key to open Device Manager. In the Device Manager window, expand Batteries, right click on available devices in this section and click Uninstall.
Confirm the device uninstall by clicking/tapping OK. Then click Action > Scan for hardware changes. Close the Device Manager. Now check the status of problem and see if it has solved or not.

    Run Built-in Power Troubleshooter
Go to Control Panel > Troubleshooting > View all. Then in All Categories window, click/tap Power. This will open built-in Power troubleshooter wizard, click Next. Run Built-in Power Troubleshooter.

Is the laptop working fine when connected with the charger? The charger itself might be faulty, or the charging port on the device might be damaged. The battery itself might be failing or have a hardware problem that prevents it from being charged or accurately reporting its charge level.

Unplug AC power, remove the bottom cover, and physically unplug the battery for a while. once plugged back in it may start charging back up to 100%.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to identify the root cause of the issue and find a solution to get your battery charging or replaced.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Hi, that battery report shows that the battery is depleted, probably several dead cells. Replace the battery and you will be OK: Genuine Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 AN515-57 AN515-58 Laptop Battery KT.0040G.013 | eBay
