I just received my PH16-72 a week or so ago and have already noticed things that, quite frankly, have no place on a mid-high-end rig that should've been stopped during QC.
First, is a gap in the bezel and display on the lower right corner next to the logo, about 2.5" long and wide enough to stick a fingernail in.
Not only that, the little strip of glued plastic/vinyl right below the palm rest, running the length of the laptop is improperly applied! one end is perfectly flush, as it should be, the other is noticeable raised and easily felt when handling the laptop...
I have no words! My 2021 $900 MSI GF63 Thin has a perfectly flush bezel. Acer has NO excuse on such sloppy qc on something that costs $3499 cad/$2500usd BEFORE taxes!
I also have an inkling that the only spot of backlight bleed on the upper left of the display is also caused by a bezel fitment issue.
To top it all off, Acer support told me 5-10 days to repair PLUS to/from shipping. that just isn't feasible for someone that uses such a device professionally. I am hoping the local Acer certified repair center can do it out of warranty, otherwise i might have to return it, some may see it as nitpicks, but it goes to show the sloppiness of the QC, if MSI can do it on low tier budget notebooks, Acer certainly can on the highest end devices they offer!
