Do you use touchpad? We can simply disable this service if you don't use.

If you use then to potentially resolve the touchpad issue, ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version, as this includes EC updates and improvements in keyboard functionality that may indirectly affect the touchpad. Use the instructions provided to update the BIOS:

Hi, open Windows Services and Stop the PXitpservice, change the Startup type to Manual or trigger start in Properties and click on Apply. Also check Startup programs in Task Manager if there is PXitpservice listed, disable that too.

@GAMING6698 thank you for your response. For now as a temporary solution i have killed the process in task-manager, luckily my touchpad still functions properly but all the other multimedia buttons like(play/pause, volume control etc) are gone. It's so annoying. One of the reason I bought this laptop was because of this exact cool looking smart touchpad functions and I am not being able to use it now.

Update your bios and check. I already provided instructions in above comment

@Puraw thank you for replying. I did exactly as you told. it does fix the issue but now I am no longer able to use the touchpad's multimedia features. Is there a permanent fix for this issue? what exactly is causing this problem?

@GAMING6698 i just bought it a week ago. BIOS seems to be up to date.

Then try uninstalling touchpad driver from driver manager then download and install touchpad driver from support page for your laptop.

Note: Install serial I/O driver before installing touchpad driver.

You are welcome, there is nothing else you can do as the program is buggy and there many posts complaining about excessive resources it uses, on this and other forums. You can lower the process priority with Efficiency Mode in Task Manager but as soon as you reboot it reverts to the default setting.

Still, if anybody find the fix please feel free to mention.

There are multiple versions of the PixArt drivers, make sure you are on the latest.

A 17% CPU usage by "PXitpservice" on your Swift Go 14 (a laptop model) is generally not considered a high CPU usage issue, but it's worth investigating if it's causing performance problems or if the usage spikes to higher levels.
Here's a breakdown to help you understand and potentially address this:
    Understanding CPU Usage:
    Normal Usage:
A CPU is designed to run at 100% utilization, and even 17% usage is not necessarily a problem.
    What is PXitpservice?
"PXitpservice" likely refers to a process related to your laptop's power management or Intel's graphics drivers, often found on Intel graphics cards.
    When to Worry:
If the CPU usage consistently remains high (80% or more) for extended periods, or if it causes performance issues (lag, slow responsiveness), then it's time to investigate.
    Other factors
Other background processes or applications could also be contributing to the CPU usage, even if they are not directly related to the PXitpservice process.
    Troubleshooting Steps:

    1. Monitor CPU Usage:
Use the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) to monitor the CPU usage of PXitpservice and other processes.
Identify if the usage spikes or is consistently high.
    2. Check for Updates:
Ensure your operating system and drivers (especially graphics drivers) are up to date.
    3. Optimize Power Settings:
Adjust your power plan to "Balanced" or "High Performance" to prevent CPU throttling.
    4. Disable Unnecessary Background Processes:
In Settings (Privacy/Apps), turn off background processes of applications that you don't need.
    5. Check for Malware:
Run a scan with a reputable antivirus program to rule out any malware causing high CPU usage.
    6. Check for other applications
Check if other applications are causing the CPU usage to spike, even if they are not directly related to the PXitpservice process.

@Axxo "PXitpservice" is responsible for the multi function features provided on the touch-pad of swift series laptops. I think 15-17% CPU usage for such a little function is way too much considering that I only get 5-7% CPU usage while opening 20 tabs on chrome with media being played. Moreover there is a driver crash error notification on the Event viewer(see image) which implies that its not functioning as it should be and there are many others having the similar issues. Either the service has bug or its conflicting with other programs.Since its a new feature i guess it still require some work to properly integrate it.
