Nitro V15 Fans working in overdrive, fans are always working extra loud

Hi,

I have the Nitro V15 with the Ryzen 7 7735HS and the RTX 3050 6GB graphics and my laptop cooling fans are always working extra loud, going at around 5000 RPM or higher when I'm playing relatively old games that shouldnt be that demanding such as AC Black Flag and World of Warcraft. I'm wondering is that normal for the fans to work that hard or what because I'm wondering what would happen if I ran a slightly newer and more demanding game.

Your laptop is designed to operate at much higher temps and fan speeds when playing games and when they are pushed to extremes. If the fans are running excessively loud, it could be due to dust buildup, poor ventilation, or even a battery issue. Try cleaning the vents and fans, ensuring good airflow, and checking your power settings for optimal performance.

Steps you can do to check the issue
Use compressed air to gently blow out dust from the vents and fans. If you can access the fans, you can also use a soft brush to remove any loose debris.

Avoid placing the laptop on soft surfaces like blankets or pillows, which can block vents. Ensure there's enough space around the laptop for airflow.

In the Power & Battery settings, try "Best Power Efficiency Mode" or "Balanced Mode". Ensure the fan speed is set to "Automatic".

Use a monitoring tool to check the CPU and GPU temperatures while the laptop is in use. If the temperatures are consistently high, it could indicate an overheating problem. A laptop cooling pad can help to reduce the operating temperature of a laptop.

Make sure your graphics drivers and chipset drivers are up to date. In rare cases, the fan motor itself might be failing, causing noise and performance issues.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Your Nitro V15 fans running at 5000+ RPM during gaming are expected when the system tries to manage heat from powerful components like the Ryzen 7 7735HS and RTX 3050. However, dust buildup, background processes, or older thermal paste can worsen the issue. To reduce noise and heat, clean vents, update drivers, optimize graphics settings, and consider using a cooling pad.

Elevating your laptop using two books on both sides can improve airflow and reduce heat buildup. Avoid placing the laptop on soft surfaces, as they block vents and trap heat. This simple adjustment enhances cooling and prevents overheating.
