I have an Acer Swift 3 (2017 model SF314-42) and tried upgrading to W11 as October approaches. The issue I had was when connecting to my TV via HDMI, which works fine on W10 but I would get a black screen on W11. I had checked for updates and installed all updates on 11, but nothing seemed to work. Is there any known solution anyone had tried, or is there a specific website that shows if AMD will support this model for Windows 11? I know the laptop is 8 years old, but it works perfectly and I would like to avoid having to spend money on a new one, just to be able to connect it to my TV. Any help is greatly appreciated. If you need more information do let me know. I am back to W10 right now.

That is how it is with your Swift SF314-42 laptop, you need to downgrade to this laptops oem OS which is Win-10 as this laptop is designed by Acer to operate on Win-10 and NOT Win-11 hence and why you are having the HDMI incompatibility problems. The Swift SF314-42 has a HDMI 2.1 which is the latest version HDMI so its not the port but the Win-11 drivers that this laptop does not utilize and that is why its not working.

Also go to AMD and use their "Get Drivers with AMD Auto-Detect and Install Tool" and see if you can get the Vega 7 graphics driver for your Swift SF314-42 laptop, also make sure that you have the last bios version 1.11 installed and all firmware that windows update has for this laptop and see if that helps. Good luck.

Guess I'll just have to accept it then. Weird that they allow for a Windows 11 upgrade but drivers stay outdated. Oh, well.
