Hi, i just bought a new nitro 16 laptop 2 days ago and was wondering how to adjust the RGB keyboard.

After i opened Nitrosense and disabled Windows Dynamic Lighting, my keyboard will only display green light on the Area 4 of the keyboard and no matter what I do, Im unable to turn back on the red on the left side (or any other color.) Ive tried uninstalling the Nitrosense on my laptop and downloaded the one from the website (which is older) and tried again after installing but to no avail. What can I do? Is this a hardware issue? Should I get a refund?

Try to use the Reset this PC functions. It can bring the RGB back to normal.

Hey I have the same issue as well, got the laptop only yesterday, unboxed today and noticed the same, did you managed to get it fixed? Care to share your solution?

If NitroSense on your Acer Nitro AN16-43-R17R isn't controlling RGB settings, try these steps:

    1. Reinstall NitroSense:
Uninstall the current version and then reinstall a fresh copy of the latest update, preferably from the Acer support site. Make sure to keep fast startup disabled during the reinstall.
    2. Regedit Modification:
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\NitroSense\Light Setting in the Registry Editor and change the KeyBoardColor value from 1 to 2.
    3. Dynamic Lighting Settings:
Go to Windows Settings > Personalization > Dynamic Lighting and ensure the settings are configured correctly.
    4. Check for Windows Conflicts:
Some users have reported issues when Windows 11 takes over dynamic lighting control. Try disabling Windows dynamic lighting and reverting to NitroSense control.
    5. Consider an Older Version:
If newer NitroSense versions are causing problems, try reverting to an older version (e.g., October 2023)
    6. Update Drivers:
Ensure your GPU and chipset drivers are up-to-date.
    7. Check for Antivirus Interference:
If your antivirus software is blocking NitroSense, temporarily disable it to see if that resolves the issue.
    8. System Restore:
If all else fails, consider a system restore to a point before the issue started.
    9. Factory Reset:
As a last resort, you can try a full factory reset, but be sure to back up your data first.
    10. Check for Keyboard RGB Functionality:
If your keyboard doesn't have RGB, the NitroSense option might still be present, but the keyboard won't change colors.

@Axxo Thank you for the elaborate steps and recommendations!

I've tried the above except older version of Nitro Sense as I can only find 1 from the Acer Support page, if you have 1, please link me there and I'll give it a shot as well.

Issue that I am facing is that I can see that the keyboard is lit green through (as shown in picture below), with the brightest on the right and dims out towards the left but nothing in Nitro Sense work, I can only use the Global settings to change how it blinks or stop blinking, other than that the only difference I will see are the lights dimming or brightening throughout the whole keyboard.

Also to note, in RegEdit, I did not find Nitro Sense, instead I found LightSettings in AcerAgent(Something…) forgot the word of that last part of it as I've tried editing hex value and editing that key to name Nitro Sense which didn't work as well.
