One of my thunderbolt ports suddenly stopped working in Helios Neo 16 PHN16 72. Pls help.
Tinkerer
I just noticed that one of my thunderbolt ports beside the HDMI port stopped working. I use a thunderbolt to DP cable to connect my monitor to my laptop. I also tried connecting my phone on the said port and I can access the phone's files but it's not charging though. I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue 🥲.
I've tried to reinstall the driver, but it didn't fix it. Is there a way for me to check that port's status or what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

What is your laptop model number, as the TBT4/USB-C port pins could have come lose lose or have broken away from the mobo traces or the port is faulty and needs replacing, take your laptop to a technician and get them to replace or fix this port, as these ports don't go faulty often and should charge your phone and have full display out for external monitors.

I have a predator Helios neo 16 PHN16—72. I tried the working thunderbolt port and yes it charges the phone. So, could be a hardware issue I suppose? 😓
