Need Intel Smart Sound Technology driver for Acer Switch 10 after Windows reinstall, no sound issue

I hope someone can help me.

I searched the support site, but the driver is not there.

I had audio problems using my external display, so I started troubleshooting.

After several tries, I deleted the driver and restarted the machine to force it to reinstall the driver, but it came up without sound at all. The ISST driver is missing.

After reinstalling Windows it is still without sound, and still has red circle with a white X by the speaker icon.

Thanks a lot

What is your exact Switch 10 laptop model number, is it model # SW5-014P or what? As some of these old Switch models Acer has stopped providing drivers for. Let us know what exact model you have so that we can direct you to a 3rd party site like HelpDrivers where you can get the audio drivers for your old Switch 10 laptop.

You can go to this link below and update your Intel drivers installed in your computer. Download and run the tool. Intel downloads
Once installed , open the app to update your Intel drivers.
    Restart once done and check.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Thanks for your reply, but I tried that and could not find the Intel Smart Sound Technology driver and as it is not installed on my computer anymore, the update tool did not work. I need the installer for my Switch.

A Google on that part number comes up with the model number SW5-017P-17JJ. That is a much better model number to try to use instead of C0VFM, since the latter type seems to be reused in different model lines. As you found, the model is old enough that Acer no longer keeps an archive of the original drivers on their website. Better is to do as Sharanji suggests and download them directly from Intel, if they have them still available.
