I have an SF314-43. Got a new adaptor last month since the last one's a lost cause.

CONTEXT :

Suddenly, this morning my adaptor make a popping noise, after that the battery keeps decreasing even though my laptop is running on AC power (plugged in, battery indicator said it's in). After that, the adaptor makes clicking noise when unplugged and quick clicking noise (soft buzzing) when plugged to my laptop.

Laptop can't run on battery since it has reached 0%, but when plugged in, even though the adaptor's not working, it's still on (stuck on 0% though, and when I plugged it off, it'll turn off. Kind of like a leaked socket situation).

SO, QUESTIONS! :

  1. Pretty sure the problem is on the adaptor charger, am I wrong?
  2. If I'm right, then: is there a fix or at least… temporary fix for this? I will buy a new AC eventually but tomorrow or a few more days after since I still got some work to do + budget.
  3. Yesterday, my laptop won't turn on after a huge overheat. It's not that bad before I got this AC, but beforehand it does overheat. Reset the battery and all good. Is it also due to this AC?

NOTES :

  1. Yes, my AC overheats a lot, so do my laptop. Since it's on for almost 20 hours a day, so it went on a cycle of plug, un-plug, plug, un-plug.

  3. No, I haven't done any change on my battery system settings.
  4. Yes, I've tried the bat

Thank you!
