Can someone tell me whether the board in this machine supports SATA m.2 ssd or PCIe m.2 ssd? I've tried it with a SATA m.2 ssd which fits in the slot but nothing happens. What PCIe support does the board have? PCIe 3.0 or 4.0?

The Aspire TC-330/330G desktop has a max speed M.2 slot of a PCIe 3 x2 type and has one slot. which is around 2000MB/s speeds, it will operate on a PCIe 3x4 lane NVMe drive as all M.2 Gen drives are backward compatible. Use a Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 SSD as they are very well supported with their software called Magician and its cloning section called Data Migration. Or look at this "SSD Benchmarks Hierarchy 2025: We've tested over 100 different SSDs" for the Gen 3 M.2 SSD that you prefer. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

This is the block diagram specs of the TC-330G mainboard M.2 SSD slot.
