If the mode switch light on your Acer Predator Helios 300 isn't changing from white to light yellow, it could indicate that the turbo mode or performance mode isn't activating or is stuck on a default setting.

Here are the potential causes and troubleshooting steps:
Software Glitch: The Predator Sense application, which controls performance modes, might be malfunctioning or not properly installed/updated. The laptop might be stuck in a previous mode setting or not properly interpreting the mode switch command.
Incorrect Mode Selection: Ensure you are actually in "Quiet" mode and not another profile that uses a different color.
Incorrect Settings: You might have accidentally disabled or set the wrong performance mode in Predator Sense.
Windows updates or other software conflicts could interfere with Predator Sense's ability to control the mode switch.

    Troubleshooting Steps:
Restart the Laptop: A simple restart can often resolve temporary software glitches.
Check Power Settings: Make sure the power settings are not interfering with the mode switch functionality.
Check for Software Updates: Ensure your laptop's drivers and software are up to date.
Reinstall Drivers: If the issue persists, try reinstalling the drivers for the mode switch or the relevant chipset.
    Check AC Adapter and Battery:
Ensure the AC adapter is plugged in and the battery level is above 40%. Try using a different AC adapter to rule out a faulty charger.
Open Predator Sense and verify that the desired performance mode is selected. Ensure that the mode switching feature is enabled in Predator Sense.

If the issue persists, you might also consider reaching out to Acer support for further assistance. Acer Support & Service
