Why does my Swift SFX14-72G shows an error message in Battery Mode even when battery is over 80%?

The problem is that I am over 80% and it is still opening up with this error message

Hi, ignore that message and keep the charger plugged in 24/7 and make sure that the battery is always fully charged to 100%, if this is the SFG14-72T model it may need a larger (100W) USB-C charger, if the laptop came with a barrel plug adapter use that instead of a USB-C charger. Update your BIOS and Windows to the latest version.

As much as I want to keep this laptop on charge 24/7. I use this laptop quite a lot in lecture halls (which don't have charging ports) and I don't want this laptop to suddenly make tons of noise out of nowhere. My laptop is up-to-date to the latest version and the model is SFX14-72G.

Also before I was able to utilise the 4 different modes on battery mode. So my question is to why I can't use these modes now?

Hi, I cannot think of anything else, consider using a tablet for attending lectures.

I can see in your screenshot that you don't have the charger connected. That message is normal when you either don't have the charger connected or you have the battery below 40% with the charger connected. Choose your mode while still on power, then use that mode when running on battery. Windows will also allow switching to battery saver mode when the battery gets low, and that's completely separate from the functions in the Acer app.
