Hello all.

I have an 1.5 year old acer nitro an515-58 laptop with a core i5 12 gen 12500H, and geeforce rtx 4060 8giga Vram.

For the first day i own, the cpu temp in medium gaming are 89-95 C. Last week i decided to clean the fan but the temps not changed.

Before i had an acer aspire 5742G and a lenovo legion y520. For both laptop i changed the thermal past with no problem.

In this case im worried becasue i read so many thing about choosing the right paste.

Now i own an arctic mx 2 and arctic mx 6, and for the Vrams i have a 1 mm gembird thermal pad.

I read about the mx 6 its not soo god for the cpu.

In my case the undervolting things impossible because this type of cpu its locked.

Any advice about the paste and pad?

Your Nitro AN515-58 at 89-95 C are normal temps for gaming and prolonged laptop usage, the ambient room temps also make a difference how the laptop temps are, use a good moiety fan tablet cooler for extra cooling. You can change the paste but be very careful when you do this as you need an anti-static wrist band and also be very careful after you have repasted the cpu/gpu and vram chips that you inset the cpu and gpu fan plug carefully so that you don't bend the plug pins to cause the laptop to not boot, as that is a very common problem that happens when users repaste their laptops and insert the fan plugs incorrectly and they bend one of the plug pins and the laptop doesn’t boot.

This is what paste and vram putty I suggest that you use:

Use the Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal for the CPU, for the GPU use Kryonaut extreme and for the VRAM chips use the TG Putty as this product is of a very high quality and all gamers use Thermal Grizzly for efficient thermal pastes on their computers. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
