It will not disconnect bluetooth, I have tried everything. The blue light is still showing so they are connected and will not disconnect. Neither the mouse nor keyboard is working. I cannot use the laptop's keyboard and track-pad. I cannot shut down the computer altogether to force it to disconnect from Bluetooth. This is not the first time this has happened. I have tried ctrl alt delete to shut the laptop down, but it does not work. I have unplugged the laptop and tried powering down the laptop with the on/off button (holding it down for at least 1 minute)… it will not recognise any key on the lap-top because the bluetooth devices are still connected. I cannot turn the bluetooth off.

I only hope that it will disconnect when it runs out of power. I have searched Reddit website and it seems this is a common problem connecting bluetooth devices. I will be going back to Harvey Norman tomorrow morning - because it is too hot here is Sydney today. The house is not hot, so there are no problems with the temperature. This has happened before.

There are all sorts of solutions suggesting for me to do something on the keyboard which does not work. I cannot even gain access to the bluetooth settings because I have no access to either of the keyboards and the touchscreen has been turned off by choice… because I don't like using it.

Hi, you can disable the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager to prevent your Bluetooth keyboard from pairing, you can remove the batteries inside the KB and mouse, and you can turn off the BT mouse, there is a switch next to the battery. Not sure a BT keyboard has such a switch.
have you tried to disable BT in Windows?

If you're having trouble turning off Bluetooth on your Acer Aspire 7 laptop, try accessing the Bluetooth settings through the Windows Start menu, then navigating to "Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices" and toggling Bluetooth off. If the Bluetooth toggle is missing, ensure the Bluetooth adapter and its drivers are installed and functioning correctly.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:-

    1. Access Bluetooth Settings:
Using the Start Menu: Click the Start button, then select "Settings".
Navigate to Devices: Choose "Devices" from the settings menu.
Open Bluetooth & other devices: Select "Bluetooth & other devices".
Toggle Bluetooth: In the Bluetooth & other devices window, locate the Bluetooth toggle and switch it to "Off".
    2. Check for Bluetooth Adapter and Drivers:
      Missing Bluetooth Setting:
If the Bluetooth setting is missing, the Windows device might not have a Bluetooth adapter.
      Driver Issues:
If the device has a Bluetooth adapter, ensure the drivers are installed correctly.
      Device Manager:
Open Device Manager (search for it in the Start menu) and check if the Bluetooth adapter is listed under "Bluetooth" or a similar category.
      Uninstall and Reinstall:
If the Bluetooth adapter is listed but not working, try uninstalling it and then restarting your computer. Windows might automatically reinstall the driver.
      Update Drivers:
If the driver is not automatically reinstalled, you can manually update it from Device Manager by right-clicking the Bluetooth adapter and selecting "Update driver".

First, force a shutdown by holding down the power button for at least 10–15 seconds. Once the laptop is off, restart it and boot into Safe Mode by the specific key for your laptop during startup. In Safe Mode, access the Device Manager by pressing Windows + X and selecting "Device Manager." Locate the "Bluetooth" section, expand it, and right-click on the Bluetooth adapter. Choose "Disable device" to turn off Bluetooth entirely. After completing these steps, exit Safe Mode and restart the laptop to see if the issue has been resolved.
