in command prompt i found there are 4 slots to insert RAM.

technically i could easily go up to 64 or even higher.

my motherboard is Ignis ADH v2.14

64 is probably supported but if i could go higher offcourse i would like that.

Your Nitro AN517-55 model laptop only has 2x ram slots, don't worry about what cmd prompt says as this laptop has only 2 ram slots. The max ram is determined by the cpu spec and what Intel deign is in most cases, the AN517-55 12th Gen Intel cpu's can work with DDR5 or DDR4 but Acer designed the AN517-55 laptop to ONLY run with DDR4 260pin type ram (the DDR5 ram has 262pins so it wont fit), this laptop has a max total workable capacity of 64GB @ 2x 32GG DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 type normal ram, do NOT use XMP overclocked ram as it will not work. If you want to buy appropriate ram, see the Crucial range of ram as they make 64GB kits. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
