My Predator Helios Neo 16 PH16-72 turned off randomly. I tried to turn it back on and it would not turn on. The battery indicator lights when I have the charger plugged in does not show up and when I plug the charger in I can hear sort of crackling/popping.

If your PHN16-72 laptop is new and under the Acer warranty send your laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country asap and don't open the laptop. As this could be a main power rail short of a mosfet or a capacitor that has shorted the power rail and has affected the laptop from firing on or its just an EC chip freeze that needs a Hard Reset

The Hard Reset entails opening the laptop and disconnecting the main battery and taking the ram out and then disconnecting the bios battery and shortening its +&- pins at the bios battery mobo plug with a metal screwdriver to reset CMOS, then leaving the laptop like that for at least 15min, so that these EC, Chipset and bios chips reset, as afterwards the laptop should reboot and work 100% and properly, you can do this if your laptop is not under warranty but if it is, then I strongly recommend that you send your laptop to Acer tech Support in your country. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
