  • It's a Acer nitro 5 an515-57-56rf
  • Laptop won't turn on or stay on without being plugged in to charger.
  • After a few mins of being plugged in battery light blinks orange

I replaced the battery because the laptop died while I was gaming. Laptop was on charge and the battery had charge.

Make sure you replaced the correct battery. Make sure you replaced the correct battery. For the initial charge, plug in your laptop and let it charge for  about 24 hours. This helps ensure the battery gets a complete charge.

This model is shipped with two types of battery. 4-cell, 3815 mAh Li- or 3733 mAh Li-polymer battery.

Battery Reset: Perform a battery reset by turning off the laptop, unplugging the charger, and using a small paperclip to press the battery reset pinhole on the bottom of the laptop for about 30 seconds. Wait a few minutes, then plug in the charger and turn on the laptop.

Reinstall Battrey drivers : Press W8K + R and type devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box, hit Enter key to open Device Manager.
In the Device Manager window, expand Batteries, right click on available devices in this section and click Uninstall. Confirm the device uninstall by clicking/tapping OK. Then click Action > Scan for hardware changes. Close the Device Manager. Now check the status of problem and see if it has solved or not.

    Run Built-in Power Troubleshooter
Go to Control Panel > Troubleshooting > View all. Then in All Categories window, click/tap Power. This will open built-in Power troubleshooter wizard, click Next. Once the troubleshooting is completed, you’ve the report of what is the culprit and what gets fixed. Click Close to exit troubleshooter window.
