Will an Acer Aspire Z3-715 accept a 15mm 2.5-inch hard drive internally without a problem?

    As stated in the specs, a 15mm thick drive should not fit, they suggest only 7mm or 9.5mm.

    Yes, you can replace the HDD (or install) in the Acer Aspire Z3-715 with a 2.5" SATA-3 SSD of up to 2TB capacity. This upgrade is compatible with the device and can significantly improve its performance, including faster boot times and quicker file transfers. The most reliable 2.5" Sata-3 SSD is the Samsung 870 EVO V-NAND 2TB. Check for a Drive Caddy: You might need a drive caddy or bracket to secure the SSD in place.

    And, of course, you aren't limited to a 2TB drive. You can put in whatever size you prefer, even if Acer didn't originally ship with one larger than 2TB.

    I appreciate the comments, but because the installed Drive is a 9mm drive, I was inquiring about the  15mm 2.5 inch hard drives NOT the capacity.
