Good afternoon,

I have a laptop model: Aspire 7 A715-42G-R5C5, which I purchased in August 2022. I've attached an image of my current battery status and would like to ask if it needs replacement.

I primarily use my laptop while plugged in and rarely rely on the battery, except when bringing it to school (where even then, I also keep it plugged in). While I haven't noticed any major issues, I’m wondering if keeping the current battery might affect my laptop's performance in the long run, even when plugged in.

I’d appreciate your advice on whether a battery replacement is necessary.

The full charge cycle is very low at 20,547mWh, your battery has lost 61.25% of its design capacity which is allot for a 2.5 to a 3 years old laptop, if the FCC depletes any lower I suggest that you change the battery as a battery in these laptop should be replaced between 3 to max 4 years. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

These are the batteries Acer lists for the Aspire 7 A715-42G, search for a genuine Acer battery by its Acer part number and only replace the battery with a genuine Acer battery.
