I've been planning to upgrade my pc for gaming and streaming

I3-2120 upgraded to I7-2600K
Ram 6GB (1x4gb 1x2gb) upgraded to 16GB (4x4gb)
On board graphic card upgraded to 1050 TI 4GB
psu no brand name 450watt upgraded to 450w 80+

Can the VGA be upgraded to be better?
whether my idea is suitable?

The M3970 has an oem 300W proprietary Acer PSU and and its 24pin ATX Power M/B Main Power Connector could be upgraded to one of the new PSUs on the market today, but I'm not 100% sure if your mainboards 24pin plug is the same and/or compatible with these new 24pin modular or standard PSUs sold today, as these new PSUs might have a different 24pin configurations, so check all that out before you buy a new 24pin PSU.

Your M3970 desktop does have a PCIEx16 slot for a GTX1660 Super gpu that you want to upgrade to, but this gpu needs a min 450W PSU to operate properly and power all the other components of your Aspire M3970 desktop. Also upgrade the ram to this desktops maximum System Memory Supported which is 16GBram @ 4x DDR3-1333MT/s speed for good gaming performance and use an 2.5" SATA III SSD also.

Also and if you want to use the oem Acer 300W PSU, I suggest that you upgrade to the GTX1650 gpu as that is the max spec gpu that will work with your oem PSU. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
