AN515-55-Nvidia App doesn't actually update my GPU driver but instead deletes it after reboot

This is my 2nd experience today of me trying to update my GPU driver, I'm using an Acer Nitro AN515-55 laptop with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics card. I went to check the Nvidia app for a driver update, and there was one, so I proceeded with the installation process. I also enabled clean installation for good measures, and after it was done installing, it asked me to restart the system, which I did. After reboot, I noticed my GPU driver was gone, not installed, and missing from task manager, so I had to go back to the app and install it again, and this time it didn't ask for a reboot, and the driver installed successfully. It feels so frustrating having to install it twice just to update it. Is there a fix for this? I winna keep using the app for updates.

My OS is up-to-date. After the incident of my GPU driver being deleted, I checked Windows Update and saw none available. I even have the option to receive updates as soon as possible enabled. I also want to use custom installation to enable clean installation, but I suspect that's what causes the error despite how unsure I am of that. My question now is, what are those possible corrupted files? And how can I repair them? I tried sfc /scannow in CMD with admin permissions and it detected nothing.

Hi, only download and install drivers and firmware from Acer Support site for your laptop model, downloading and installing untested, not Acer-endorsed drivers and firmware from 3rd-party sites will be removed by Windows security when you reboot. Apps/packages from the Microsoft Store are OK.

I only download driver updates from trustworthy programs like the NVIDIA App for my GPU.
