Acer Swift Edge 16 is not charging anymore, Could it be a faulty power cable or a software issue?

Acer Swift Edge 16 has completely stopped charging. It worked for a minute when I flipped the cable around but then stopped again. What could be the issue? Could it be a faulty power cable or a software issue? Should I have take it to warranty repair shop? The ports themselves look ok, but neither of them is working.

Hi, try a larger 100W USB-C laptop charger the 65W charger may not be powerful enough to charge a depleted battery, or take the laptop to Acer Services in your country and include the USB-C charger.

If you have a multimeter, test the voltage output from the charger to confirm if it is producing power. If you're unsure about the issue, contact Acer support or a professional at a repair center can diagnose the problem and tell you if it's the charger or the laptop that needs fixing.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Which Swift Edge 16 do you have? There have been at least three different model years on that line, although I think they have all been AMD based so far. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SFE16-xxx-xxxx. They all likely use a 65W USB-C charger, so verifying that is what you are using is worthwhile. When you plug the charger in, does the battery indicator on the side light up? Which color and is it flashing?
