Why docking station only partially works with my Nitro ANV15-51

I have a Dell docking station that works fine with various other laptops I use (1 Dell and 3 HP). I plug them into the USB-C cable from the docking station and they charge, the screens both work and they connect to Ethernet via the cable attached to the docking station.

With the Acer, the laptop doesn't charge and it doesn't recognise the Ethernet connection. If I plug in the power cord, it gives me a warning that the charge is too low power. The connector also has an option to connect with the older USB. Using that, the laptop is powered fine by its own power supply but the Ethernet still doesn't work.

I think the issue of power is possibly related to the fact the docking station has only a 130W power supply. The laptops own is 135W. I don't think that's the reason the Ethernet only works when I connect the cable directly to the laptop, though.

So, my questions are, am I right about the reason it won't power via the USB-C connection, why doesn't the ethernet work and finally, is there a docking station that will work? It would need 2 Displayport, 3 USB-B, Ethernet and an audio jack as a minimum.

Acer has allot of docking stations, so use one of the Acer hubs that is similar to the Dell, as a Dell hub is probably not compatible with your new Nitro ANV15-51 laptop, also always use the 135W or higher wattage adapter and not a lower wattage 130W adapter for your ANV15-51 laptop. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Hi, Acer recommends using the OEM Acer power adapter for charging and operating this laptop, consider using a USB-C charger only for backup power not suitable for gaming as the system will detect any USB-C charger as a battery and you will always get the message "too low power" with only a USB-C charger/docking station connected. I have no idea why the Ethernet on the DELL dock does not work.

Unfortunately Acer don't appear to produce a dock that has 2 DP out. I guess I could use HDMI but I prefer DP. They mostly seem to be 100W or less input. There is one very expensive one that has 160W input (and presumably enough output) but that's Thunderbolt which is not suitable for my laptop.

Something I should have checked before buying, I guess.
