Does the Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-31P NX.KRPSA.002 USB-C port support Display Port Input?

In the manual it states that the USB C slot supports DP over USB. And further down it states its output...

I'm wanting to know is it able to accept input?

I read about DP alt mode which I'm guessing is input?

I could buy a DP to HDMI adapter that I could plug into my HDMI to USB C adapter. I just need to know if the USB C port is capable of input?

And about the power delivery is that a separate power pack I have to use? Or is it talking about the laptop's power cable and plug?

It states I can use the provided USB Type-C power adapter. I don't think I got that. I'll have to check the box tomorrow and see if it's in there.

The USB-C port on the Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-31P supports DisplayPort over USB-C for output, meaning you can connect an external monitor using this port. However, it does not support input, so you cannot use it to receive video signals from another device.

It doesn't specifically say that its output or input though...

I don't understand why laptops don't have display inputs on them. Why would anyone want to output to an external display? It already comes with one.

Are you an official Acer employee? I want to hear from an Acer engineer to be 100% certain.

I am not an official Acer employee. Laptops rarely have video input ports (HDMI-in, DisplayPort-in), so they can't directly function as a traditional monitor. Unfortunately they are not designed to be used as displays and there isn't a setting you can change.

The USB-C port supports video output only.

Regarding the power delivery, you get a 65W PD charger with a C to C cable.
