Hello. Why is Acer not releasing any BIOS Update to push latest microcode released by Intel for fixing problem of high current leakage into Intel 13900HX CPU?

Intel had acknowledged this issue and fixed it by releasing microcode update 0x12B

https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/Microcode-0x129-Update-for-Intel-Core-13th-and-14th-Gen-Desktop/m-p/1622129

PH18-72 has already received newer BIOS while PH18-71 has not received any update since 2023. Acer should release new BIOS to fix this issue which might hamper and degrade the CPU performance permanently.

What cpu microcode have you got installed currently on your PH18-71 laptop? As the bios 2023/07/24 version 1.12, installed a microcode that should have fix the Intel issues, that is why Acer hasn't update the cpu microcode, install CPUz to find out the version at section "Mainboard", so check your current cpu microcode, as Acer might not necessary use the cpu microcode 0x12B as the code for the Intel cpu instability issues fix.

Just as an example, on my Predator Helios Neo with the i5-13500HX cpu, Acer updated the microcode on bios 1.10 dated 2023/05/29 which is older than your bios and the bios cpu microcode 0x35 on my laptop fixed the Intel cpu instability issues.

Ok. I will check microcode version and get back here. But other manufacturers have already released that. They would not have released it if it wasnt that much needed. For eg. see below

    https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-in/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=hm1k4&oscode=w2021&productcode=alienware-m16-r1-laptop

Dell has already released BIOS update to fix that microcode bug. Acer should do it too
