The "Display connection might be limited" message on your Acer Aspire 3 when connecting to a docking station via USB can be due to several reasons. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Ensure that your laptop and docking station are compatible. Some docking stations require a USB-C connection with DisplayPort/Video-out support, which your laptop might not have. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause this issue. Update your USB and display drivers:

Open Settings and navigate to Update & Security > Windows Update. Check for updates and install any available driver updates23.Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter:
Press Windows + R, type Control, and press Enter. Search for "Troubleshooter" and select "Troubleshooting".
Under "System and Security", click on "Hardware and Devices" and follow the on-screen instructions2.

Ensure that the cables connecting your laptop to the docking station are not damaged. Try using a different cable to see if the issue persists.
If your laptop has multiple USB ports, try connecting the docking station to a different port.

Sometimes, a recent Windows update can cause compatibility issues. If the problem started after a recent update, try uninstalling it2.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, it might be worth checking with Acer support or the docking station manufacturer for further assistance.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
