I received my new ACER laptop/tablet today. The internet speed is very slow. I added an external antenna with very little difference. My PC is getting 500 to 550. The laptop gets 100 next to the router and still works OK just slow. How can I get a better reception?

Also I would like to remove BING and EDGE. I follow the internet instructions with no luck, tried, I tried several different instructions. Keeps taking me back to start again. Tried several times. Very frustrating.

There is no such model as the A35P14-31PT but there is the Aspire A3SP14-31PT which I think is what your laptop is. Anyway, the Wi-Fi/BT card that your laptop has is an Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX101 that has Bands 2.4, 5 GHz (80MHz) and Max Speed of 600 Mbps card and it should handle 400-500MB/s speeds.

There must be something wrong with your Wi-Fi setup on your laptop, go to Device Manager and refresh the drivers or reinstall the Wi-Fi driver and Bluetooth driver, use the oem drivers from the Acer support page for the Aspire A3SP14-31PT

WI-FI Driver Refresh >Go to > Device Manager > Network adapters > select Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX101 card > right click the card Properties > Driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer > and then pick the last and most recent dated Wi-Fi driver that is in that list, and reinstall that driver, as afterwards your Wi-Fi should work.

I followed your instructions but it did not solve the issue. My friend brought his HP laptop with Win 10 and it got over 160, better than under 100.

    Thanks for the help

Hi, you can't remove Microsoft Bing or Edge in Windows10 or 11, these features and program are integrated in the OS. Reset your Windows network and just use the basic adapters like the picture below. 100 Mbps average downloading on a 4G link is normal, resetting the mobile router also helps.

Is there instructions for this procedure? I have only had the machine a week plus

I was able to remove or disable Bing and Edge.

Since I have only had the machine for less than 2 weeks, should this fall under the warrantee?

If you feel the modem is not working correctly, how do we fix this under warrantee.

I have done everything requested with no luck. I would like to have a computer that works correctly.

If you are unable to help me fix it, I will send it back get a different machine.

    thank you

Here's the steps you can try.
    -Press Windows key + X
    -Go to Settings
    -Click Update and Security
    -Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.
-Look for Internet Connection and run the troubleshooter.

    -Press Windows key + X
    -Go to Device Manager
    -Expand the Network Adapter
-Look for Wireless driver that was installed
    -Right click and Uninstall
After restart the driver will be automatically installed.

-Click Start, type CMD and run as administrator
-Copy and paste each of the command below and hit enter

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh advfirewall reset

    netsh winsock reset

    ipconfig / flushdns

    ipconfig / release

    ipconfig / renew

    Restart your computer using cleaboot.

    1. Open the run box by pressing the Windows Key + R and type msconfig
    2. System Configuration Utility box will open and by default you are on general tab.
    3. On the General tab, click the selective startup and make sure that load system service and load startup items both have checked mark.
    4. Click on services tab
    5. Put a check mark on Hide All Microsoft Services
    6. Once Hide all Microsoft Services have checked mark on it, click on Disable All
    7. Click on the Startup Tab and click open task manager. This will open another window which contains all your startup applications on the administrator account.
    8. Disable all application that you're not using. You can simply just click on them and select disable.
    9. Click OK, Apply and close the configuration utility
    10. Restart your pc and check the network speed.

I hope the information above helps.
