I updated the BIOS of my Acer Swift 3 device to version 1.12. During the update, it got excessively hot, and now it seems to get a bit hotter than usual during normal use. Did I make a mistake by updating? Is there any difference in power consumption and fan performance with this update compared to the previous one? Can I roll back to the previous version?

You can't roll back an Insyde bios on this laptop, the bios version 1.12 should not affect the temps of this SF314-43 laptop, this laptop is going on 4 years old and needs its fans cleaned and/or checked if it operates 100% and is not affecting temps, also this laptop needs its cpu paste changed, do that as that will improve temps of this laptop.

Its an easy job, use the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme that is a high performance paste which should reduce temps considerably, also use a laptop cooling pad for extra crossflow ventilation when you are using this laptop on a desk. try all that and let us know how your laptops temps are. Good luck.

Thank you. It seems fine now; it was heating up while loading.
