    • Can you Undervolt the CPU on an Acer Nitro 16 AN16-42 with Ryzen 9 8945HS and RTX 4070

    Hello there! I purchased three months ago an acer nitro 16 laptop with AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS and RTX 4070. I'm wondering whether I can undervolt the CPU and how to do it, as I have searched for some time and there are only some old videos using AATU (which is now UXTU and its UI and options are quite different, thus finding it confusing as I'm not experienced whatsoever). Moreover, AMD Ryzen Master utility is not supported for mobile processors.

      Hi, the Acer Nitro 16 AN16-42 with a Ryzen 9 CPU does not have an option to undervolt the CPU in the BIOS. This feature is often locked in many modern laptops due to security measures and hardware limitations. Try Throttle stop freeware or reducing the max. power processor state for battery and adapter from 100% to 95% in Advanced Power Plan settings. Using Best Power Efficiency mode in Power & Battery settings also helps to cool the CPU.
