Predator PHN16-72 Random disconnects during online gaming sessions?

I recently bought myself a Predator Helios Neos 16 with a Intel Core I9-14900hx processor and 4060 Nvidia Geforce RTX graphics card and it has been working very well save for a single issue. While I play online games on steam, sometimes I will be randomly disconnected from a match in games and have to rejoin the match. The game will simply lose its connection even though the internet and wifi are still operating strongly while I play the game. I have updated my graphics and intel drivers, as well as my bios, but it seems to just happen at random after a while no matter what I do. Known games where this has happened include Marvel Rivals, Smite 2, and Ravenswatch. If there is anyone who can help explain why this happens and how to fix it, please let me know as soon as possible. The games work very well despite the random disconnects and I would like to get it fixed quickly so I can enjoy using this laptop for its intended purpose!

Hi, check with your internet provider if there is maintenance going on in your area, this sounds like a link quality issue. Also check your (mobile) router location. run this command with the command prompt, that should return zero packets lost: ping -n 10 community.acer.com

I have checked and there are no problems with the internet. No packet loss either.

Might have found a possible reason. I have my fans set to auto while gaming on high quality games like Marvel Rivals and the temperature can spike and drop with the CPU pretty wildly. Setting the fans to a consistent speed during times like that might help but I haven't completely confirmed it yet. If keeping the cpu temp around 75 degrees is something I should be consistently doing then let me know.

Still having problems unfortunately. Among us even sometimes disconnects me and I have no idea why. I'm using a Xfinity xb6 router and I'm not sure if that might be the problem because it should at least work with the adaptor I have, which is a Killer(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i 160MHz Wireless Network Adapter (211NGW). Please get back to me as soon as possible as I have tried a lot of other things too, like uninstalling killer control center, updating the drivers, and keeping an eye on the temperatures of the games.

Unfortunately my Predator Helios Neo 18 PHN18-71-727B with the same network adapter has similar connection problems. At the time of the disconnects you may see warnings logged in Windows Event Viewer from source "Netwtw14" or something similar. The workaround I have been using is to run an ethernet cable to a Linksys Wi-Fi Range Extender (model RE6400) which then wirelessly connects to the main Wi-Fi access point. This removes all gaming portability. After several different Wi-Fi drivers seems the ultimate solution may be to disable the internal AX1675i and get a nano usb Wi-Fi adapter or replace the AX1675i in the laptop with something else. If you come across a fix please share.

Yeah I see the Netwtw 14 in the error logs. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers as they are, but I'm not sure if that will work. Funny enough the driver says that it works fine, but I need confirmation that it will stay that way. I really want to get this thing working!

I believe I have tracked the problem to the killer 1675i adapter, but I'm still not 100% certain about it. I'm using the 5ghz preferred setting since my modem is very close to my computer with no walls or anything in the way so hopefully that will help a little bit. I'll keep this updated, if anyone else has this kind of problem or advice on fixing this, please post here!
