spacebar on my laptop broke, paid a shop to replace the keyboard. They finished said the new keyboard was defective. Found out they broke the socket. I need to find this part so I can pay another shop to put it in. How can I get information on the socket?

Which Swift 5 model do you have, should be something like SF515-xx or similar. its very difficult to advise you if you don't give us the exact details of your Swift 5 laptop, as there are many thousands of parts.

Also do you mean that the shop broke the keyboard mobo plug (see below) or what? Post a caption of the broken plug, as that will clear things up even more. Good luck.

This is a Swift 5 SF515-51T keyboard FFC as shown in its service guide. But there is no part for this plug, you will have to get a tech that has a similar board that he can take this plug from and put into you Swift 5.
