XMP Support for Predator Orion 5000 PO5-655-UB22, getting constant alarm

I attempted to enable XMP on my Orion 5000 PO5-655-UB22 and there is a constant alarm, presumably for failing to load the memory profile?

Without having to take the system apart to access the CMOS battery, is there a way to reset BIOS?

Also, I am using JEDEC approved DDR5 Dimms 6400 @ 1.1V. I expected everything to work straight away. I have tried two sets of XMP dimms at 6000 and 6400 but all fail with the alarm during post.

Any plans from Acer to update the bios so that it either auto recovers when the memory fails to train or enable more profiles?

The JEDEC DDR5-6400MT/s DiIMMs @ 1.1V that you bought is probably not a compatible CL ram for the PO5-655 desktop and its NOT an approved ram that Acer has set the Intel H770 chipset mobo to. The PO5-655 > XMP bios @ Enables settings is only for the DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 or the DDR-5600MT/s CL46 speed type ram, so that it gets overclocked to whatever Acer set the XMP ram max speed to, if you use the higher ram DDR5-6000 or the 6400MT/s speeds the XMP should be turned to Disabled, as this mobo ram will operate at whatever Acer has set the bios for the ram.

Extreme Memory Profile ( X.M.P.) - (Disabled) This item enables or disables Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.)

Use the Crucial recommended ram speed guide, as their ram speed recommendations work for the Acer Predator Orion 5000 PO5-655, they also recommend twice the ram max capacity of 128GB ram at the ram speeds and other capacities below:

For 128GB max total ram Crucial recommend the following into the PO5-655s 4x ram slots:

    • Crucial Pro - 4x 32GB - DDR5-5600 • CL=46 • Non-ECC • UDIMM • 288-pins • 1.1V • 1Rx8 • PC5-44800
    • Crucial Pro - 2x 64GB - DDR5-6000 • CL=40 • Non-ECC • UDIMM • 288-pins • 1.35V • 1Rx8 • PC5-48000
    • Crucial Pro - 4x 32GB - DDR5-6400 • CL=36 • Non-ECC • UDIMM • 288-pins • 1.35V • 1Rx8 • PC5-48000

Note: Make sure that you have the last bios version 1.05 installed as this bios updates the "INTEL Microcode 0x12B update for the Intel 13th and 14th Generation CPU issue" and also the ram compatibility from DDR5-4400MT/s to DDR5-5600MT/s and above with overclocking at bios. Good luck and hope this helps you out further and solves the overclocking issue.
